Dalamara - Paliokalias - Xinomavro

Dalamara's Paliokalias is a varietal Xinomavro, the grape at the heart of Greece's most serious red wines. Pale in colour but deceptively powerful, Xinomavro carries firm tannin and bright acidity, giving it a structural kinship with Nebbiolo or Barolo more than anything typically associated with the Mediterranean.

Expect savoury, high-toned aromatics: dried tomato, black olive, wild herb, sour cherry, with tannins built for the table rather than the sofa. Serve at 16-18°C alongside venison, red meat, hard or aged cheeses, and pasta dishes with real depth of sauce.
