Chartreuse - Genepi des Peres Chartreux

Génépi des Pères Chartreux is a herbal liqueur produced by the Chartreuse monks in the French Alps, drawing on the same centuries-old monastic tradition behind their famous green and yellow liqueurs. Made with génépi, a wild alpine herb from the artemisia family, it sits at 40% ABV — gentler than Chartreuse Verte but firmly in the same aromatic family.

Expect a clean, herbal bitterness with floral and alpine notes: think mountain meadow rather than the dense, resinous complexity of full Chartreuse. Serve neat and well-chilled as a digestif, or use it to lift a simple gin or vodka-based cocktail where something botanically precise is needed.
