Casa Ferreirinha - Quinta da Leda - Douro

Casa Ferreirinha is one of the Douro's most respected table-wine producers, and Quinta da Leda is their single-quinta expression from the far eastern reaches of the valley, where a continental climate and schist soils push ripeness and concentration. The blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot is unusual for the Douro but handled with clear purpose.

Expect a structured, full-bodied red with dark fruit, graphite and an earthy, mineral backbone — firm tannins that reward decanting and a long, savoury finish. On board, serve alongside rack of lamb, aged beef, truffle-based dishes, or a serious cheese board.
